As a Licensed Professional Counselor - Candidate (LPC-C), my goal as a therapist is to help you make sense of difficult past experiences and foster meaningful change in your life by integrating biblical principles. I strive to work collaboratively with clients to equip them with the tools they need to progress toward their goals.
I believe therapy is most effective when it is personalized to meet the unique needs, strengths, and goals of each individual. My approach incorporates a variety of therapeutic techniques, drawing primarily from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and narrative-based methods. My sessions often focus on helping clients gain insight into patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving while learning to modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.
I provide psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, and families, tailoring my approach to suit each client’s circumstances. In addition to CBT, my techniques include stress management, self-esteem enhancement, anxiety reduction, empowerment, and achieving a work/life balance.
My educational background includes a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Langston University. Before joining Amayesing Skillz, I dedicated 12 years to the Tulsa County Health Department, where I educated families on maternal and child health and connected them with vital community resources. During my tenure, I organized Community Baby Showers, which offered families access to education and mental health resources.
With over a decade of experience as a Home-Based Behavioral Health Case Manager, I have supported youth offenders and families in navigating challenges and accessing services tailored to their needs. I am deeply passionate about helping individuals with disabilities by linking them to resources that enhance their quality of life.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, fishing, walking, creating arts and crafts, reading, and learning American Sign Language. My faith and commitment to serving others continue to guide my work and personal growth.
